It seems the latest cool and fun thing to do is for pilots to map out a symbol or word as part of their flight path. With websites monitoring the flights of planes all around the world, the flights paths are captured for the world to see.
In case you aren’t familiar with the practice, I’ve got a short slideshow of recent “sky art” for you:
(If you are interested, you can view flights paths here: https://www.flightradar24.com/ )
Have you seen sky art before?

I haven’t seen sky art but I’ve seen so many runners doing this with their exercise app! Writing messages and stuff in their walking. That’s how I got onto the app I have now – a friend took her pups for a walk and spelled “hi” during their route! Haha!

It’s pretty cool what technology can do these days. The Hub uses Strava for his bike riding, maybe I should get him to spell something out 😉

Never heard of this. Love the way we connect the dots.

I think in the sky it is quite clever because the designs are so very large! Although I am surprised with flights being monitored flight control aren’t questioning what on earth the pilot is doing.

Oooo Le Brother uses it for biking too! Those two have a lot in common lol
He should spell something! Maybe in June I will attempt it. Don’t want to mess up my tracking towards my May total km’s 😂

I wonder how the people on the plane feel about the backtracking involved… (This was the first thought that popped up while looking at those.)
