I’m very excited…Queensland has opened the border to the ACT (ie where my parents live and where I live). A few conditions: have to fill out some paperwork to declare we haven’t left our little city in the last 14 days and have to fly direct (read take second mortgage to be able to go).
But the Barbarians start school holidays at the end of this week (2 weeks mid-semester break). They both have assessment to do over the hols, but we are taking time next week to head north. The Hub has to work as he couldn’t get leave at short notice, sadly.
What it does mean is that next week I will take a holiday from my blog as well. I mean to relax, enjoy the warm weather, sandy beaches and catching up with family (and hopefully friends).
I can’t wait!
What’s something you are looking forward to when covid restrictions ease?

Nobody is going to let me out of Melbourne let alone over any border for some time to come, alas. So I will have to settle for a haircut, which I need badly, and a swim – in an outdoor pool, as the beach is out and the indoor pools are also out for a while. And maybe a visit to the gallery and a movie when those are going again. I think the outdoor pools reopen, in a limited sense, next week. I may need to book.
Enjoy your holiday.

Congrats! How wonderful. I’m taking a trip from California to Indiana. So far, their borders are OK but I keep checking.
