Always the denigration of California. We know, you’re all just jealous of our wonderful weather (and annual wildfires)…

Lol. Although I think Oz is pretty similar to California (including the wildfires – half our country has burnt in the last week).

In fact, a Californian exchange student at my school, in Melbourne(Victoria, not Florida!) assured me that the weather in his home state was similar to ours in Melbourne.
As for Terry Pratchett, all very well for that prolific writer to say that! I remember him talking about his writing at a convention I attended. “And I finished and then for about half an hour I was a man who wasn’t writing a book…” He did have his methods, to be fair. I read that when he had finished his last book, he would(during the typewriter era) roll paper into the machine and type 400 words of the next. And I’m guessing he was a pantser because someone who planned everything out could never have done what he did.
