I’m not sure how many of you saw my New Year’s post, but it would seem my blog stumbled in the first moments of 2023. The post didn’t show for many people, and if those who did see it tried to comment, they got a Denied message. I’ve spent the last five days trying to get my blog working.
As I said, not an auspicious start to the year.
I believe the issue of my posts not showing is now fixed. I’m not as confident the “Denied access after too many login attempts” issue is gone, though. It’s not popping up every time, but it does seem to still randomly appear.
If you have any trouble on my blog posting comments, would you mind using my contact form (which I have quadruple checked is working!) to let me know you were denied access to posting a comment? Thank you for taking the extra step – it will help me problem solve. I hope!
Did your 2023 get off to a great start? Better than mine, I hope 🙂

Testing the comments and keeping my fingers crossed…

Hi Anita! I didn’t see that message, but the last few posts I have read have had closed comments, so I couldn’t do it anyway. How soon do you close comments after posting?

Oh, that’s a promising start then, thanks, Sue. I close comments after 14 days – the New Year’s post should still have open comments, but the rest should be closed.

Ah, the joys of technical difficulties. I hope you’ve got them sorted now. We’ll see if this posts…

Ugh, technical woes are such a headache. I really hope they are now fixed – looking promising, but keeping my fingers crossed.

There have been a lot of WordPress issues with the new year. I think you’re a WP blog? Looks like you fixed it, Anita!

Hi Jacqui, yes I am WP. So far no-one has reported any issues since I got it working so I think it might be fixed? (Don’t want to speak too soon!)
