Our Territory Government have released the following poster to promote physical distancing. Clever and fun 🙂

Have you seen any fun covid health promotions that draw attention?

  1. LOL what is a drop bear?!?

We have “please stay 48 timbits apart” signs! Lol mostly at Tim Hortons locations were timbits (donut holes) are a part of the menu

    • From the wikipedia page: A drop bear (sometimes dropbear, has been assigned the scientific name Thylarctos plummetus) is a hoax in contemporary Australian folklore featuring a predatory, carnivorous version of the koala (Phascolarctos cinereus). This imaginary animal is commonly spoken about in tall tales designed to scare tourists. While koalas are typically docile herbivores (and are not bears), drop bears are described as unusually large and vicious marsupials that inhabit treetops and attack unsuspecting people (or other prey) that walk beneath them by dropping onto their heads from above.

But now I know exactly what I am going to blog next if I can find the right thing…

  2. Clever way to get the message across!

  3. Cute! I’ve seen a sign at a park that says you must stay 3 Canada Geese apart. And trust me, you don’t want to get close to a Canada Goose! 😉

  4. No, actually, I haven’t seen any good ones. I’ll have to keep a look out.

    • I think they’ll become more common, Liz, because with people getting fatigue from the restrictions the government(s) will be looking for new ways to engage the community.

  5. LOL ooooo wow! As if Australia wasn’t already full of deadly things, it creates a fake murderous bear 😂😂😂

    • Oh yeah, and the thing is, people believe it. What you do need to know is to keep them away, you need to put a stripe of vegemite on your nose…
