Every time I cross off an item on my to-do list another, bigger and badder than the first, appears at the bottom. I’ve finally worked out what’s happening! My to-do list has been infected by the same spell that magicked Bartholomew Cubbins.
Maybe one day I’ll cross off that magic 500th thing and… nothing. No more things to do.
Bliss.

I’m unfamiliar with that book as well. But I know what you mean about never ending lists.

I’m surprised the book isn’t as well known, considering it is a Suess.

I loved that book and had completely forgotten about it. Thank you for the reminder to look it up and reread for fun.
I am right with you on the to-do list. Ugh. It really never ends . . . just like housework.

I know, Lynda! I feel there is something wrong when the to-do list governs your life.
