A very dear female friend recently fought (and won) against breast cancer. A close (male) friend of my parents recently lost his fight with breast cancer. In 2017, it is estimated that the risk of an individual being diagnosed with breast cancer by their 85th birthday will be 1 in 14 (1 in 715 males and 1 in 8 females).
While breast cancer doesn’t discriminate, it is still more prevalent in women. It’s so important to make sure you are self-checking your breasts regularly. If this advertisement for a breast-check-reminder app doesn’t get you thinking about giving your breasts some TLC, nothing will!
