50 days…

until Christmas! Wow, it’s crept up on me this year. Usually I am really organised and have all my present shopping under control with most bought or ordered. This year, I’ve bought one present to date. One. *sigh*

I think it’s a reflection of the year. 2020 has been a shocker in so many ways. But present shopping is on my to do list now. I am a little lucky this year, because we are doing a small Christmas (our future pup is not cheap so that’s where our present money is going).

I hate crowds, I hate shopping, so I need to get Christmas shopping done and dusted soon.

Have you started thinking about Christmas?

  1. No!!!!!

But now I have. Thanks, Anita.

  2. Because I have an online shop for my yarn-y creations, I’ve been thinking about Christmas since June. I haven’t done anything yet, but I’ve been thinking I might do a book year. Still mulling about with the idea.

    • You can never go wrong with a book. That’s probably what I will mostly do, but I need to give it some thought.

  3. Not at all! I tend to be a December = Christmas person, so I don’t usually get an early jump on anything!

    • Oh I understand why you think that, Jenny, but my hatred of shopping and crowds means the last thing I want to do in December is go to the shops, lol.

  4. My mom sent a text saying she had started shopping twoish weeks ago which was so early for her so I sent an email to my family saying not to buy me gifts and I wasnt buying any for anyone. Then my mom got SOOOO upset but my brother agrees with me and he’s the reason I sent the email cos he doesn’t feel he can be honest about it. No word at all from my dad so who knows what Christmas will be like….

    • Bummer, GF. I know this is a battle you and your brother have every year. The grown-ups in my family don’t do gifts really. The Hub and I don’t exchange either, just something small from the Barbarians. The pressies are really all about the Barbarians. I’m going to post about my favourite thing about Christmas soon 🙂
