I love a clever ad as anyone who has followed here for a while will know. This is another I have to share because I think it is funny and clever.
It’s a UK ad promoting covid vaccinations, although it may not seem like it at first…
Does it make you want to get your covid vaccination?

We’re going to wait on the Covid vaccine until we’re certain it won’t kill us. I don’t go anywhere, anyway…

The data we’re hearing seems pretty positive.

That’s cute, and I like both of those guys.
Vaccines are polarizing like everything else these days, but I’m planning to get one when my turn comes around.

Same, same. Totally getting it when it is my turn.

I don’t think the ad will change any minds, but it’s fun. I will get mine the minute I get access. Supposedly it’s my turn, but finding an appointment anywhere…

Yay that it is your turn, Liz. I hope it means you will get one soon! I’m not sure when I will be, but for most of Oz it will be June onwards I think.

I really shouldn’t watch it. The virus is a political beast here; even more so in the state I live in. Our illustrious governor has put two pop-up vaccine sites in places that are tied to his political party. By tied, I mean had a lot of donations to his party.
His other responses to where and when seem to fly by the seat of his pants, maybe this, maybe that. I don’t want to wait to get mine, but I look to be falling through another crack in the bucket. I turn 65 in late May, by then the focus will be on others, not people my age, oh well.
I do like both of those guys, so I will have to watch

That doesn’t seem right, BF. Can you go to your GP to get your name on the right list? (and because I will forget, Happy Birthday for late May! I hope you have a splendiforous day).

No, you can’t go to your GP and get signed in. Each individual has to go to the state’s website and sign up. The state server, like al gov’t servers is grossly under powered and crashes on a regular basis when faced by so many people trying to use it.
Those who have signed in have spent hours and hours to get there. I haven’t bothered yet because, right now, the emphasis is on people over 65 or with co-morbidity. I miss on both of those points, barely.
Basically it is an insane way to run a pandemic, but our governor is a mini version of our last president and crows about how well he has nailed this and gets pissed when anyone calls him out. Someday I will make the effort, after I am really old, because I do wish to be vaccinated, the virus has been messing with my mind for too long.

Very clever. Got my first, scheduled my second. Then I’m going on a plane to see my sister!

You’ll have to let me know how the second shot goes. I hear that is the one that results in a few reactions (like headaches etc). But how wonderful you will get to see your sister!!!!!
