Spring blooms are well and truly out and with them has come an influx of bees. I’m sure our native bees are around but they are mostly tiny (and quiet) so it’s the European bees mostly see and hear.
I love bees. Not only because of the essential role they play in our ecosystem, but because they are such happy insects. I love watching them buzz around, flitting from flower to flower as they load up pollen onto their legs.
If you follow me on Instagram you will regularly see bee photos over the warmer months. But last week I took a short film of our peach tree which is covered in bright pink flowers. And what you can see in the photo are a *lot* of bees. But not only that, you can hear them (and a bird that didn’t want to be left out). The bees aren’t as loud in the video as they were in real life, but they are still easy to hear.
