A few weeks ago I talked about the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) and their weather app. If you remember, I was not happy my favourite feature of the app had been taken away and it hadn’t returned.
Guess what, they’ve updated the app! But in a huge FAIL, I still don’t have my “feels like” temperature. To make it worse, they have “Feels like –” (as you can see below). I think it was better when the whole function was gone, rather than having a line for it 🙁
They’ve gone for a more pastel colour palette – which for my colour blind eyes has made the radar much harder to view.
Before the app was very clean. It certainly isn’t now because there is a lot more information. It’s a bit overwhelming because it isn’t as easy to see what you want to know, but this is one feature I am sure I will get used to it.
I do like that they pin your location on the radar. Much easier to see whether or not the rain will come (we have a lot of mountains around us, so it is very unpredictable).
I’m sure that overall the app update is an improvement – like anything there is an adjustment period. But I wish they’d included the feels like in the update.
Do you have any apps that updated, but you didn’t think it was an “up” date?

Is there a way to change the colour scheme? On some apps you can choose the background?
I am a creature of habit so when things change I am usually annoyed a little bit haha! Can’t think of anything off the too of my head right now but there are lots of examples lol

Ooooo I though of one! 😂😂 in WordPress when you go to add a picture, now you have to add a special block. I hated the blocks when they first arrived but now they are tolerable. But now when you add a block, the post settings disappears from the right hand side! Its so annoying!!!

Hmmm, I don’t have that problem with my site. I can add pictures without special blocks and don’t lose my settings. Wonder what is different?

Nope, there is no user functionality with the app.

It sounds like “feels like” is going to be there, but that function is just broken at the moment. Sorry their “improvements” aren’t.

It looks like it is going to be there, but I don’t think it will be. It’s working in other places 🙁
