New Zealand has released a series of cyber safety ads that are funny and clever. If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you’ll know I like funny, clever advertisements, so I have to share these with you.
There are a series of 4 ads covering the topics of: bullying, grooming, porn and inappropriate content. My favourites are porn and grooming (and that sentence sounds bad on its own!), so I’ve included them below. If you’d like to see the others, you can find them here.
What do you think, will they help educate parents and kids?

Haha oh man! I am glad that this is a series! And its funny which is great! When I was growing up, online was a new thing! Like internet came via dial up when I was 12, and I talked to some very inappropriate people, had no idea of online safety, even gave my phone # and address to one or two. SOOO DANGEROUS! I am so lucky that nothing bad happened.

It was so new to everyone then, luckily the inherent nastiness that is there now had probably not had time to creep in – but still lucky!

Sounds like a good campaign.

I think funny and good visuals are what you need to reach kids these days, so hopefully it works.

Yes! The one I gave my address to was probably a pedophile. Like 99% sure he was. The phone number I gave to a different one was an old phone number and he was redirected and just a horny teen lol

What makes you so sure?! And if that is the case you were very lucky!

These are really clever! Done in a nonjudgmental way and super engaging.
