For a writer it isn’t just enough to have a good plot. You have to be able to craft the story so readers keep turning the page. The good thing about writing craft is that it can be learnt. And like anything, the more you practice, the better you get at telling your story.
Need to brush up on your craft? Not sure what you don’t know? Join me for my 5-week online Craft 101: Back to Basics course (5th Aug – 8th Sept).
I have just completed the Back to Basics course with AJ and found it very helpful. For someone just starting to write it flowed naturally and covered topics I didn’t even know I should know about if I want to write a readable story. The readings on each topic, complimented by short podcasts from published authors with advice about things that worked and didn’t work for them, were really engaging. After completing the exercises, AJ’s feedback helped to put me on the right track. Thanks AJ.
