Mid-winter feel good story

It’s the middle of winter here and we’ve just had a blisteringly cold “polar vortex” come through. Temps have been at freezing (or not much above) for a number of days. To brighten my day I read a few feel good stories and thought I’d share one with you.

Last year a not-for-profit bookstore in England had to relocate 150 metres (about 500 feet) down the road. The local community rallied behind the bookstore and come moving day they formed a human chain to ferry some of the 20,000 books to their new home. Over 2,000 books were moved in a few hours!

  5. Looks like an old time bucket brigade, but for books.

  6. It would have been so interesting to be in the chain and see all those books pass by!
It’s almost 100 degrees F in Colorado today, BTW.
