I don’t have many indoor plants. I would love more, but with Barbarians, a dog, pots on the decks (12) and a large garden, I don’t have enough time for more plants at the moment. As a result, we only have 3 pot plants in the house (and one of those is a cactus, the other a succulent).
I have a pot plant on my desk. I’ve had it for quite a long time, but it very rarely flowers. I think, in part, it’s because my office is in a room with a south facing window so it never gets sunlight.
It is right against the window and I can tell it seeks the light because I have to turn it every few months when all the leaves are pressed against the window.
But over the last couple of days I noticed a beautiful pink “leaf” forming and uncurling and I knew I had a flower coming.
Today it finally opened. It is only tiny but I think it is all the more pretty for that.
Do you have indoor plants? Do they flower?

So pretty!! I had a succulent when I was living in Korea the second time. But I got bored with it and was convinced it was attracting bugs into my 3rd floor apartment. It could have just been because it was summer but I blame the plant. No plants after that.

Did the bugs vanish with the plant? I couldn’t imagine not having any indoor plants. One day (in my dream house because I can have everything I want in my dream house) I will have loads of indoor plants. But for now my desk plant will have to do.

Hah, I have designed layout, features and everything. Maybe I should write a post about it. The dream house I’m happiest with is on my dream block of land, lol. I’m about to start designing a new house for the block of land we are on now though – you know, for when I inherit that fortune from the distant relative I don’t know I have *wink*.

I have a few houseplants, but lately I haven’t had much luck with them. I once had an anthurium, and the flowers lasted forever. But after they were gone, it never bloomed again. I finally gave up on it. I’m glad yours made a tiny flower for you!

Oooh, I hope this flower lasts a while. That’s why at the moment we have a cactus (kitchen bench) and a succulent (Jeckle’s desk) because it’s easy to have success with them (although the cactus is yet to flower).
