The ideal view for daily writing, hour for hour, is the blank brick wall of a cold-storage warehouse. Failing this, a stretch of sky will do, cloudless if possible

Edna is talking about distraction.I do see her point, though I like to write to music and somewhere pleasant. My way of avoiding distraction is in the local library.
I hope your writing retreat is going well! Tel, us all about it when you get back.

I sit at a window. I do get a little distracted by the birds visiting my birdbath, but I wouldn’t change it (and I plan on telling you about my cruise this week 🙂 )

OK, doesn’t work for me but to each his own, don’t you think?

Totally each to his own. It isn’t really my cuppa tea either (although sometimes I think I might actually get more done, lol).
