In 2020 I’m answering a list of 52 journal questions. Read about it here.
One way you’d like to grow in the next year.
To be honest, I had a goal for growth this year, but thanks to covid and its ongoing impact on every facet of life, that goal won’t happen. I’m unsure about setting the goal for the next 12 months, because until we settle into our new normal it’s a little hard to know what are reasonable expectations.
If we get a vaccine next year (and our government are telling us we will have a vaccine next year), then uncertainty will lift and life will get easier. But if it doesn’t…
So I guess for the next year I don’t really have an aim to grow in any way. I want to be able maintain my status quo, that’s goal enough I think. Keep my resilience strong, my sense of humour in place, my half-cup attitude full, not empty and keep my determination to make the best of everything unwavering.
If I can do that, I think I will have done better than to grow in just one thing.
What about you, do you have someway in which you’d like to grow in 2021 or are you like me and are happy to just keep pushing on without going backwards?

I try to keep things light and not too stressful about personal growth. Just go with the flow and always be working in being a little better.

That’s a nice way of looking at it, GF!

My current #1 goal is to join Elon Musk and go to Mars. Of course, that won’t happen for a decade. Join me?

I’m not sure I could handle being in the company of Elon Musk for too long. He seems to be a little too bonkers for long term company, lol.

Considering where we are at right now, that’s a perfectly reasonable goal to have. Growth can only happen when there is room for it.

That’s so true, Liz. I guess I hadn’t thought of that.

I couldn’t agree more with your goal of maintaining your status quo. Resilience, humor, and optimism are so very necessary right now!

I think if we can all get to the end of the year with our sanity in place we’ll have done well!
