Social distancing ingenuity

I have to laugh on the things people are doing in these weird times. This was advertised recently on the Gold Coast (in Queensland).

Personally, I thought bikes were a natural social distancing form of exercise without the added chain saw. I guess it does mean you don’t have to pedal though.

Have you seen any ingenious methods for maintaining social distancing?

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ at the start of all of this, a man made a hoop that gave him 6 feet of social distancing around him. He wore it downtown Toronto and walked the sidewalks to show how impossible it is down there to keep 6ft around you. It was more of a science experiment than anything real but it made it only the news! And it also prompted health officials to be like “listen, if you’re just passing someone on the sidewalk its fine to not be 6ft, use common sense” LOL

    • I bet everyone hated him that day, lol. Although he wouldn’t have been able to fit through any doorways. He must have looked a sight walking down the street!

  2. Nothing Iโ€™ve noticed so far. And we are about to go into our second lockdown here, so clearly there havenโ€™t been many geniuses coming up with great ideas!

    • Good luck with your second lockdown, Sue. Although I can’t imagine it will affect your life to greatly – just no more picnic lunches in the park.

  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Necessity ain’t the mother of invention, boredom is…

  4. I think I could use the chainsaw just when walking. Although, there was this guy who put a table around him. Round 6 ft table to make sure he had the distance he needed.

    • I can just imagine the reality of “Chainsaw Massacre” except in California, lol. I wonder how long he lasted carrying a table with him everywhere?

  5. I love it. We are a creative folk, aren’t we?

    • Electric bikes have really taken off here, but they cost a fortune, so I guess this is the cheaper version.

Oh yeah! He was hitting people on the street and it was hitting cars and getting stuck on things lol

    • Lol, some science experiment. I don’t think he needed the frame to be able to work out what was going to happen.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ me either! He was trying to prove a point that our sidewalks aren’t wide enough for normal things but add this on top…when I first started my walks people would go on the road when passing. Now its a little better – not going to such extremes but still trying to be as far apart as possible.
