Spring is here

I’ve done it; survived another winter (the 1st of September was our first day of spring). I understand why the birds are preening and chirping like crazy… I feel a little bit that way myself.

I remember when I was a kid, we used to say this silly little poem at the start of spring (author unknown):

Spring has sprung,
the grass has riz,
I wonder where the birdies is?
The bird is on the wing—
But that’s absurd!
The wing is on the bird!

Kid humour I guess 🙃

Are you also relieved to see the back of winter?

  1. I don’t consider summer over until it fully cools off. As we’re supposed to be in the 90s this week (30s Celsius), nope, not fall yet.

    • No, that’s quite warm still for autumn. We’re climbing to the high teens (mid-60s farenheit) this week which is blissful after winter. I’m sure it’s false spring, but I am soaking it up while it lasts.
