Stick Library

A feel good story… a 10 year old and his Dad built stick libraries at the local dog parks in Saskatoon, Canada (they got the idea from New Zealand).

The idea was to find something for pet owners to keep their dogs entertained during lockdown.

No need to return, they are just there for dogs to have fun with.

I think it’s a wonderful idea. Have you seen anything like that in your area?

I haven’t seen it in my area but I have seen this news story before! 🥰

    • Aw, I thought maybe you had some near you (I have no idea where Saskatoon is in relation to you – probably the other side of the country)!

  2. That’s a thought. Interesting.

    • I’m not sure what lockdown has been like for you guys, but we weren’t allowed to travel more than a certain distance from our homes (5km from memory) for exercise. Not everyone had great parks etc nearby for dogs, so this would have been a brilliant idea for back then in Oz.

  3. I like that, but not as much as the dogs. Great idea!

    • Our new little guy certainly loves sticks, so I imagine a whole box of them would be huge fun for them.

  4. This is so cute! I love seeing a dog with a stick 🙂

    • Me too! Our last boy would just look at any stick we gave him with a look that said, what do you expect me to do with it? But our new little guy loves them (yay).
