Across the border

Regular readers will know that last week the Barbarians and I got to fly to Queensland to visit the GGs (grandparents) because the borders between their state and our territory finally opened. Not being sure how long they will stay open we bolted while we could.

It was only a short visit, but it was really great to see them. We didn’t do anything exciting, pretty much just hanging around their place, but every afternoon we walked the two furry ones:

We walked them along the mouth of the river to the ocean (river below looking to ocean where the point on the right is). And, being the right time of year, were fortunate enough to see whales every day.

I am so happy you finally got to see your family! Im going tomorrow to my brother’s house! Woohoo

    • Thanks, GF. They are two fluff balls and it was wonderful to see family again. Hope you had a great trip to your see your brother.

  2. Well, they’re happy-looking little cuties! And whale spotting is definitely on my bucket list. I’ve been to coastal areas that have whales but never at the right time of year. I’m glad you were able to visit your family. That can be very hard to arrange these days!

    • We’re lucky in Australia because the whales go up and down our coastlines, so plenty of opportunities to see them.

  3. Glad you had a great trip. And I bet it was nice to see family. That was the point, right?
