Broken internet

More tech woes 🙁 Our internet is rather broken – neither our house phone (which uses VOIP) or internet seem to be able to hold it together for more than a few minutes at a time. Of course, the tech guy can’t get here until Wednesday. To the Barbarians this seems a life time away, lol.

This post is short and sweet because I want to get it posted while there is a moment of connection. Fingers crossed the tech guy works wonders on Wednesday.

Do you cope when you lose internet?

  1. Last week, my power to the whole house (and the wifi) went out at the end of a video lesson. It was right before lunch and the one student who decides he needs to tell a 20 min story when 2 minutes covers all the information was telling me something. I was thrilled to be set free from his story LOL but then a little worried about winter and no power…then a little happy because I wouldn’t have to teach afternoon classes!! But then by the time I got to the end of those thoughts I had power again LOL

Im ok without internet for a bit. I have books and things which keep me occupied. But if its longer than a day I’d probably be sad and annoyed haha especially if I had to teach! Our internet at the school is horrendous! Theres even an announcement at the start of day for teachers to turn off their cell phone wifi to help the classes stream…

    • I happily go without internet, but if I am waiting for something it gets frustrating. In fact, it can be a relief at times to not have to worry. Glad you have heating though (that is something I would not cope without in winter!).

  2. Yikes. We’ve been lucky *knock on wood*. Whenever our Internet gets wonky, I “crash” the system and reboot. It usually does the trick. So far. (I need some more wood to knock on.)

    • We’ve rebooted over and over (which usually works) but this time it’s well and truly broken. At least tomorrow is tech guy day!

  3. One of those days we-all hate tech. I feel your pain.

  4. Oh yes, I think I am the same! If I don’t have something, I’m ok. But if I’m waiting for something I have no patience 😂

And I am very thankful for heat in the winter as well!! Haha

  5. My thing to do when the internet is down is wait on hold with the internet company, listening to terrible music until the end of time! I do everything I can to pawn this job off on my husband, and it usually works because he is a nice person 🙂

    • Haha, I did the same (usually I can’t because The Hub can’t make phone calls during work hours so it falls to me).
