Vale Captain Sir Tom

Last year I posted about the inspirational Captain Tom Moore. In recognition of his efforts he was knighted by the Queen, to become Captain Sir Tom Moore.

Sadly, this lovely man who raised over £32 million pounds to help fight coronavirus, has succumbed at the age of 100 years to that very disease.

Rest in peace, Captain Sir Tom.

  1. I was so sad when I heard the news! What an inspiration for everyone!☹️

  2. God wanted him back I suppose. What an inspiration–and a lovely family.

    • He takes the good ones. The whole family seem lovely. I bet Captain Sir Tom would be astonished at the outpouring around the world.

  3. I saw this someplace else, but I didn’t understand the significance. Thanks.

  4. His was such a wonderful story in a year of not-so-wonderful stories, and I’m sorry he’s gone.

    • You’re right, Jenny. I think we grasped those positive stories because they were so few and far between.
