In the comments of a recent post, Flower Power, I mentioned in my dream house I would have loads of indoor plants. Blog reader Giggling Fattie wanted to know more about it so here goes…
Of course my dream house would be on my dream block of land. The block would be north facing with no neighbour to the north – either facing a nature reserve or with a view. The northern aspect would have heaps of triple-glazed glass.
The house would be U-shaped to take advantage of the sun and heat to the north. I’d have a huge office in the tip of one of the arms of the “U” with loads of glass – let the sun in and with a view. A deck would link the two arms of the “U”. I’d also have a library/music room with floor to ceiling and wall to wall bookshelves. The house would be fully tiled with wood-look tiles and under floor heating.
Here are some of my inspiration images:

So glad we have similar tastes because otherwise our plan to live in eternal summer (me) / winter (you) wouldn’t be so easy 😉

Can’t find a single thing wrong with this dream house. Well, maybe the price!

Thanks, Liz. When you have unlimited funds to dream what you want it’s easy to be lovely.
