Little Toy Library

I’m sure by now you must be aware of Little Free Libraries (if not, you can check out my post here). A new type of free library has sprung up in Australia and I think it is fabulous.

From news.com.au

These little beach toy libraries are a great idea. More than 80% of Aussies live near the coast – we are a very beach oriented culture (of course, where I live now is no where near the coast but I did grow up much closer).

Do you have a different type of free library near you?

  1. I can just imagine how sang-logged those toys get.

    • I think it’s brilliant. Nothing worse than getting to the beach and finding you’ve left the spade at home, or if it’s an impromptu visit and you have nothing handy.

  2. There is a street Little Library not far from my place. I do think it’s a nice idea, but we have had some pouring rain recently, including today. There is also a room-sized Little Library in the Melbourne Central building. I once took some students to the Melbourne Writers Festival and we left via Melbourne Central. The kids pounced on the books in delight and shared their new goodies on the train,

  3. Fun! I read about some kids who made a “stick library” for dogs. Too cute!

  4. Rizzo ratso, three posts in the past month and I missed two of them. Good to see you back, I missed you (you probably missed you too).

The tiny toy boxes are so cute, but around here I doubt any would ever go back in the box.

    Tanks for posting.

    • Hey BF!! I’m hoping this year will let me post more because I do miss it. And glad to see you found I was back 🙂

That’s a shame because I’m sure you must have some nice beaches around.
