I dream of…

In 2020 Iā€™m answering a list of 52 journal questions. Read about it here.

One thing you dream of doing.
I’m sure everyone here knows that I dream about being a published author, but there’s something else I dream of probably more often than my author goal. Quite possibly because if I was able to fulfil this other dream, the author dream would follow.

That dream? To have time to relax.

I can only imagine what it must be like to relax because it has been such a long time since I have been able to. I figure until the Barbarians leave home there is probably little chance I’ll find any.

Mind you, I am still shouldering a large volunteer role thanks to covid. Don’t scoff! The AGM was 4 hours shy of being held when lockdown was announced and the AGM cancelled. I was that close to being able to hand over my presidency. Next year, in April, we will try again, but this time I will be ending my 3 years regardless of whatever 2021 has in store.

What do you dream of?

  1. That’s because you’re momming it up. When those days pass, all changes.

  2. Haha ooooo I dream of being able to save money šŸ˜‚ like sure I probs didn’t need to grab 2 slices of pizza on my way home tonight and could have saved that money, but I mean like SAVE. Not sure how I’ll make that happen but someday soon maybe lol

    • That would also be wonderful. But I think it’s the same reason as I had for not having time to relax. When the Barbarians leave home…

  3. Lol my reason is just no funds. Life in Toronto is SOOOO expensive and my job doesn’t pay a lot. So I’m stuck either leaving a job I love or not saving šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

  4. I bet you’d be surprised at how little you get done if you had lots of time to relax. Just ask any retired person. They wonder how they ever had time for a job before. Something always comes in to fill the void.

    • Aack, don’t say that, Liz, lol. I know you are right but I think I’ll plead ignorance and keep dreaming for now šŸ˜‰

  5. Kids do keep you busy, and they also keep you efficient with scheduling. I tend to be less so these days, regrettably!
