Today is the 1st of March…and that makes it the first day of autumn. We’ve had such a cool (and overcast) summer, that I am struggling with the idea we are now in autumn. I mean, I’m not a fan of the cold anyway (as regular readers of my blog would know), but usually we get a hot summer, so I get a bit of a break. But this summer we’ve had days where the temps have been close to winter temps *sigh*.
At least the trees will start to change (some are getting an early start!) and look pretty – silver lining!

This may sound odd, but I’m not a big fan of summer. We have some really hot days here.

Not odd at all. I know a lot of people who aren’t fans of summer, especially in areas where it is both hot and humid. The Hub is one such person who prefers cold to hot.

I’m sorry you got shortchanged by summer! We are heading to spring, which will be welcome, as we’ve had very cold temperatures so far in 2022. Spring is my favorite season. Later, though, when it’s more like summer than winter 🙂 I hope you have a lovely autumn!

I’m not looking forward to summer myself. I don’t like it when it gets too hot. Perhaps you’ll have an unseasonably warm autumn this year.

I hope so, Liz, although they aren’t forecasting that. I imagine you get humid and hot, which I think is much harder to deal with then dry heat.

Fall is my favourite season hehe! Spring for us starts on the 20th of March, which is one of the reasons for it being my brother’s wedding apparently. I am excited about the warmer temperatures here. So many days feeling like -30 or lower this winter has not been fun. We have a little snow this week but I am hoping that it will be the last of it. I’m done with snow and winter and ughness.
My least favourite season is summer. It’s so hot and disgusting.

It’s pretty isn’t it. Makes me think I should like on the ground and watch the leaves falling (except it would be way to cold, lol).

We’re supposed to be in our 2 weeks of spring. It feels closer to summer and we might break 90 this weekend.
Luckily my section of Florida has never cracked the 100 degree mark, but those 90s with 99% humidity last so long, and winter was late and didn’t stay long at the fair.
I’ve got to get out and enjoy this while I can.

We haven’t had the rain that our northern neighbours have had/are having. But we’ve lived through it before ourselves. Never had to camp on a roof before, but have been cut off and isolated many times. Joys of La Nina.
